The Bahamas is one of the most famous spots for fishing on the planet.  Each year, millions of people from around the world come to the azure waters of this tropical paradise to catch a variety of fish from its bounteous seas.  Swordfish, tuna, shark, marlin, grouper, bonefish, sailfish, barracuda; these are just a sampling of the variety of fish available for someone interested in sports fishing.

In the Bahamas especially, the Wahoo is plentiful in numbers and size.  Between the months of December and April, they migrate through the islands seeking warmer waters for spawning and food.  While most average between 50-70 pounds, there are enough in the triple digits for fishermen to have a decent chance of catching a few.  Most importantly though, this fish is prized for its meat.  Its flesh is white and dense, with a taste similar to mackerel, meaning that any fish bagged in the ocean make for a feast later in the evening.
